Kitchen, Sitting Room and Utility Areas
The ground floor of the cottage is spacious with high ceilings and ample space for a large family party, yet it remains comfortable and intimate for a couple or a group of four people.
The sitting room has an open fire to sit beside, with a cup of tea or a dram, after a day out on the hill. Patio doors lead out from the sitting room into a sheltered natural sun trap. The book cases are well stocked with an eclectic selection of books. There is a TV and a DVD player, along with a selection of children’s games for those lazy days when you come in early.
The large open farmhouse kitchen / dining room is well equipped with all of the cooking equipment that you might expect to find in your own home and there is seating for at least eight people. If you do not wish to cater for yourselves all of the time, the Gardeners cottage has the great advantage of being less than half a mile from the village of Portree, where there are plenty of restaurants and pubs to tempt you.
The cottage has full central heating throughout and the gas boiler also supplies ample hot water for the house.
The Utility area has lots of space for hanging coats, storing boots and drying off wet outdoor clothing. There is a secure outdoor shed to the rear of the cottage where you may keep bicycles or other outdoor gear.
